Dear SBAN Family,
SBAN is dedicated to helping you realize just how important and relevant SB/BT can be to your lives today.  Our Alumni Communities team led by Amy Walia-Fazio, this week's featured board member, has been instrumental in linking alumni to one another across the country from different programs and years as well as in reestablishing the connection between alumni and existing programs.  In these weekly e-newsletters, we will continue to update you on events that are taking place around the network.  If there are no events taking place in your backyard, we invite you to organize your own events to help SBAN connect and inspire leaders.
All the Best,

Featured Board Member - Amy Walia-Fazio
Helping Build Alumni Communities Throughout The Nation!

As the Director of Alumni Communities, Amy leads a team whose goal is to create new behavior among alumni because SBAN believes it is not enough for alumni to think of Summerbridge or Breakthrough as something from their distant past.  Instead, SBAN wants you to think of the organization as highly relevant to your lives today.  To accomplish this, the Alumni Communities team develops tools and systems to facilitate the organization of regional events that bring alumni together.  They also provide individual coaching and ongoing support to organizers.

Club 12 Update - What does it mean to be a member of Club 12?

When you believe in something you give a part of yourself to it.

Last week Tim shared his heart touching story, recounting events of adversity and his perseverance through it all.  His invaluable contributions to SBAN are evidence of his success and illustrate his belief in its mission.

Each of us has given a part of ourselves to an SB/BT program.

Right now, programs are preparing to bring talented students together for another amazing summer of teaching and learning. At SBAN, the memories of our summers as students and teachers keep us focused and motivated at work. Wherever you are in the coming weeks, we hope you keep your former program, its students, and its staff close at heart.

If you pass by a program, hear from fellow alumni or receive a request for support, we hope you respond with the spirit and energy you gave to your program. SBAN, the national Breakthrough Collaborative office, and each current program are working toward creating learners and leaders.

Thank you for your interest and support of our efforts.

 All the Best,
